Why Nurcha Pad?

A great deal of thought has gone into sourcing the best possible design and fabrics needed to bring you the Nurcha range, the topper and backer fabrics may vary from pad to pad depending on the suppliers however the core and waterproof fabrics stay unchanged. Every pad has an added layer of flannelette for extra absorbency.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the pads made from?
The topper layer that is against the skin is made from cotton with a colour print.
The backing layer is made from cotton.
In between is a hidden layer of flannelette cotton for extra absorption.
The hidden waterproofing layer is called PUL (polyurethane laminate), it is a thin breathable layer that prevents any fluid flowing through the pad onto your underwear.
The absorbent layer is bamboo fleece and reaches peak absorbency after about 6 washes (it is pre-washed twice before sewn into the pads). Bamboo fleece is a very thirsty fabric and can hold 3 times its own weight in liquid.
The snap fasteners on the wings are made from a durable resin plastic.

How many pads will I need?
The starter pack is perfect to get underway with our Nurcha range of beautiful reusables. Or you may like to get underway with our Nurcha 3 pack range of beautiful reusables.
The starter pack includes 1 x light, 1 x regular and 1 x night flow pad and our 3 pack includes either 3 light flow pads or 3 regular flow pads or 3 night flow pads.
As another suggestion try 1 pad (to compare along with what you are now using) recommending our Nucha “Regular 28cm” beautiful reusable pad as an allrounder to sample the comfort and absorbency first hand.
How to wear them?
Place into your underwear pretty side up, fold wings around gusset, choose from the adjustable width and snap together.
Wear as long as you feel comfortable.
Changing every 4 – 6 hours is ideal.
How do I wash them?
Cold rinse after use until water runs clear, or soak until you do the laundry (you can add a little lemon juice or vinegar while they soak).
Hang out to dry in the sunshine (sunlight assists in removing stains and acts as a disinfectant and prevents microbial growth which may happen if the pads are not completely dry).
